Interesting

Interesting sounds, but there are some really clashing harmonies between the melody and bass from around 0:25

Raptorsend responds:

Umm, I can't really hear clashing harmonies. But thanks anyways.

Awesomeness!

This is a great piece of music! It reminds me of some ambient stuff a freind of my dads wrote. I love the chords and the melodies.

I would be very keen to have a look at the .flp - what do you reckon?

Great Job!

KroweMusic responds:

Glad you liked it :)

Sorry...I don't like giving out .flp's for my songs. I like to keep all my projects private. Its just a "thing" that I have :/

Thanks for the review :)

Woo Hoo!

Is awesomeness...

QUICK RESPONSE

Okay

While I quite like some of the sounds you have going, it is not very original. The chord sequence should change a bit more, and it gets really repetitive. Otherwise, good song.

Thanks for an honest review.

Interesting

Interesting Peice. Few minor points.

The Conga sound is out of tune with the song, this threw me off a bit, you might want to fiddle with the tuning.

It got a bit busy at times, it was nice, but maybe the strings should have been more chords.

The piano bit near the end however is good, especially when the strings come in there, the only thing was the guitar is a bit computery.

Good Job

Gravey responds:

I will keep all this in mind. Constructive criticism is always welcome. :-)

Great

Really nice song again, it sounds like you were improv? what kbd were you using, or was it a soft synth?

CheckMark responds:

the sound is called tines 61 played on my alesis synthesiser

Cool.

Great song, nice synth bells at the start, and the drums were not what I expected, so it was a nice twist. The only thing that stops me giving it 10/10 is that it is the dreaded 1564 sequence!

SeanLawrence responds:

Thank you very much :)

Confusing

Whilst it is an interesting song, all the delay made it hard to listen to. A blues song tends to be quite clean. This was a bit to confusing. Also, not enough above 3 khz.

Other than that, it is ok

robertemerald responds:

Thank you ghjook. You're right. Too much delay on the lead (and too loud) and I over-dubbed myself too much. No idea what 3khz means, but I suspect that you refer to the volume? Yes I could fix that in Audacity, but I would only think it important if you need to play loud or a noise issue. The method I used with this song I used on Me And My Baby Blues, and Won't Bother You Blues, and neither got better scores , so thanks I guess.

Sweet!

Really good, like the variation, and how it seems to have heaps of space and still sound complex, wish I could do that! If your computer is crapping itself, turn up the buffer level, and it can play heaps more smooth.

Geoplex responds:

I had the buffer on max the entire time while making this song. It still refused to play where I had more than 12-ish patterns going on at once.. it'd stutter and replay bits and then freeze up... and my computer really isn't that bad.
Anyways, glad you liked it :3

Mmmmmmm..........

Interesting, Definately needs some more variation on sounds, and the 1564 riff at the beginning is a bit annoying (if you think I am raving, check out this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3A2QP d138U). Other Than that, a nice song.

ajfromcanada responds:

Thanks. No, I definitely agree with you on that I-V-VI-IV riff. I've been experimenting with ways to change it up so it isn't so "blah". Thanks for the feedback though! :D
